Finished version of my minesweeper render. Think I'm done but feedback/suggestions are always welcome. Not sure about the dust cloud over the crater but I felt it needed something there so it'll be there till someone suggests something better.
Rendered in POV-Ray as always in ~6hrs. All shapes are basic CSG except the crater which is a height field I made in photoshop. [Update] So I entered this as is in the IRTC (Internet Ray-Trace Competition) under the subect Catastrophy and came in 6th of 70 entries. I was also awarded the 'Honorable Mention: Concept, Originality, Interpretation of Theme' award, so yay for me  . You can check it out and the others here: [link] |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
